I would not worry about this study, most of them false or unfounded. The only negative point about using a microwave is that it destroys most vitamins and nutrients in foods.

According to the Journal of the American Medical Association, the safest, what is true. Some plastics release carcinogenic compounds when heated in the microwave. No way to say for the man on the street, what plastic or custom. Recommendation not all of heat in the microwave using plastic waxpaper, paper plates, paper cups, etc.
